Subhash Industries

Up on the first floor of Nilam Industrial Estate, things stay pretty busy most days. We are located over in Irani Wadi, Kandivli West. If you know Shantilal Mody X Road Number 2, then you know exactly where we are. It is one of those old industrial buildings where everyone knows their neighbor. The stairs are a bit steep when you're carrying heavy crates, but we manage somehow. Subhash Industries has been here for a good while now. We do our manufacturing work in a space that’s usually filled with tools and raw materials. It gets a bit cramped sometimes when a big shipment arrives, but we find a way to organize it eventually. The light coming through the windows isn't great, so we have plenty of overhead lamps to see what we are doing. Most of us live nearby, so the commute isn't too bad unless the monsoon rain is heavy. People stop by to talk about parts or just to check on how things are moving along. We don’t have a fancy reception area or any of that corporate stuff. You just walk in and find someone working. We deal with the typical problems of a small factory, like machines needing spare parts or the power flickering during a storm. We just keep our heads down and handle the tasks as they come. It's a practical way to earn a living. The neighborhood has changed, but the work we do stays the same.
