Styl Rite Optical Industries

Styl Rite Optical Industries is located over at 425 Kalbadevi on the 24th Main Road. We’re in Pattani House, which is part of the 6th Phase area. Kalbadevi is always a bit of a scramble with the traffic and people everywhere. Our building is one of the older ones, so it has that specific smell of old concrete and dust. We work with optical stuff, mostly frames and lenses. The workshop part of the building is where we spend most of our time. It’s not a clean, white lab like you see on TV. It’s got tools laying around and boxes of frames stacked up against the walls. We’ve been here for a long time, and the building shows its age, but it works for what we need. The windows don’t let in much light because of the neighboring buildings, so we have to use big overhead lamps to see what we’re doing. It’s a busy neighborhood, and sometimes getting deliveries in or out is a real headache because of the narrow roads. We’ve got a small crew of people who have been doing this for decades. We don't really have a fancy entrance or a receptionist. You just come in and find someone at a workbench. It’s just how we operate, focused on getting the orders right and out the door. The fans hum all day to keep us cool while we work.
