Store Keeper

This is the Store Keeper office located at the B.L.Kashyap & Sons Ltd site on L.B.S.Marg. We are right in the middle of the H.C.C Project in Vikhroli West. It is a busy construction zone most of the time. My job is basically making sure every nut, bolt, and piece of steel is accounted for before it goes into the building. Mumbai is always loud and this site is no different with the traffic on L.B.S. Marg humming along outside our gates. The office is just a temporary setup but we keep it organized. I spend a lot of my morning checking manifests against what actually came off the truck last night. It gets hot in these cabins during the afternoon so we keep the fans going at full speed. We have been here since the project started moving. It is a lot of responsibility because if something is missing the whole work stops. I don't use any fancy software, just some notebooks and a basic computer for the main entries. The guys on the crew know to come to me when they need tools. Sometimes I have to go out and look for things in the yard when the labels fall off. It is dusty work but it pays the bills and keeps the project moving forward. We are just a small part of this big Mumbai construction. We keep things moving as best as we can despite the noise.
