Stick Tapes Pvt. Ltd. is located in Gala No.12 at Shailesh Industrial Estate No. 7 in Vasai East. Vasai is a bit of a trek for some, but it’s where a lot of the manufacturing happens these days. Our unit is a gala, which is basically a large industrial room. We make adhesive tapes, so the whole place has a slight smell of glue. There are big rolls of tape being wound and cut into smaller sizes all day long. It’s a very repetitive process, and the machines make a sharp zipping sound every time they cut. We have to be careful about dust because it ruins the stickiness of the tape. The space is packed with pallets of finished goods ready to be shipped out. We don't have much room for a fancy office, so the desk is just tucked into a corner near the entrance. Most of us wear comfortable clothes because you’re on your feet most of the time. The industrial estate is a maze of buildings, and sometimes delivery drivers get lost looking for Gala 12. We usually have to go out to the main gate to wave them in. It’s a hardworking environment, and we focus on keeping the machines running smoothly. We don't have a marketing team; we just make the tape and send it to whoever ordered it.
