We’ve been running Sterling Construction System Pvt Ltd from our flat here in Giriraj Apartments for a while now. Sector 48 in Seawoods is a busy spot, and Navi Mumbai just keeps growing around us. Most days it’s just us figuring out the logistics of different construction sites. It gets a bit cramped with all the drawings and folders everywhere in Flat 701, but we make it work. A big fancy office with a lobby isn't our style. Instead, we just sit down with a cup of tea and plan out the next week's schedule for the workers and the materials. Sometimes the traffic down on the road is a nightmare, but being in Seawoods makes it easy enough to get to the sites we need to see. A lot of time is spent on the phone or driving around to check on things. It’s hard work, and the weather in Mumbai doesn't always help, especially when the monsoon hits and everything slows down. People around here know us as the guys who are always busy with some project or another. There is no marketing team or anything like that in this office. It’s just us doing the daily grind, making sure the systems we put in place actually hold up on the ground. When things go wrong, we have to fix them on the fly, but that’s just how this business is. Most of the time, we’re just trying to keep up with the pace of the city.
