We are located at 409 in Prasad Chambers, which is right in the middle of the Opera House district. It’s a busy building with a lot of history in the diamond and gem trade. We’ve been working from this floor for quite some time now. The office is usually a bit of a mess with papers and small parcels. We don't really have a reception area or anything like that. People just walk in and we talk across the desks. The lighting is the most important thing for us, so we have these bright lamps everywhere. Most of our day is spent looking at stones and talking to other traders. It’s a lot of back and forth. The Opera House area is always loud with traffic and people shouting, but inside the chambers, it stays relatively calm. We have our routines, like the time we get our lunch delivered or when the mail comes. It’s a simple way of working. We don't use a lot of fancy technology, just the basic tools of the trade that have worked for years. Sometimes we stay late when there is a lot to sort through. The building has its quirks, like the slow lifts and the narrow hallways, but we are used to it. It’s just where we do our business every day. We aren't trying to impress anyone, just getting the work done as it comes in. It is a steady environment for us.
