We do not really have a walk-in shop where you can just show up and talk to someone at a counter. Most of what we do happens through the computer screen and our internet connection. It is mostly just checking the inbox and sending replies back and forth all day. It might seem a bit strange to some people that we do not have a big building with a sign, but it works for us. We spend a lot of time sitting at the kitchen table or a small desk at home, just staying on top of the messages. The email address is how everyone finds us and gets in touch. It is a bit old-school, still using a Yahoo account, but we have had it forever and everyone we know has it saved. We do not have to worry about the city traffic or paying rent for a fancy office space in the middle of a busy street. Sometimes the internet goes slow or the power cuts out, and that is our biggest problem for the day. We try to be quick with the replies, but sometimes life gets in the way and it takes a bit longer than we planned. It is a very simple way of doing things without any fuss. No one is breathing down our necks or checking our hours. We just manage the messages and make sure things are moving. It is a quiet way to work, honestly. We are happy staying small.
