Working out of Unit No. 1 in the Navketan Industrial Estate means we are right in the thick of things in Andheri East. If you’ve ever been down Mahakali Caves Road, you know how packed it gets with traffic and people. Spheros Motherson Thermal System has been in this particular spot for a good bit of time now. The estate itself is one of those classic Mumbai industrial setups where space is tight and everyone is busy. We deal with thermal systems, so it gets pretty warm in the workspace, and there’s always the hum of some machine or another in the background. It’s not a polished corporate headquarters; it’s a place where work actually happens on the floor. Our desks are right next to where the equipment is kept. Most of us take the local train and then a rickshaw to get here, so the morning starts with that typical Andheri rush. We don't spend much time on fancy talk. We just focus on the units we’re assembling or the parts we’re checking. Sometimes the rain makes things difficult with the loading area, but we manage. It’s a practical environment. We have our regulars who come in for tea at the small stall outside the gate. It’s just a normal group of people working a regular job in a busy part of the city, trying to stay on top of the schedule and making sure everything gets shipped out on time.
