Speedfam (India) Pvt Ltd is located at W-401 in the TTC Industrial Area. This part of Rabale is strictly business. You won't find many trees or parks around here, just industrial sheds and trucks. Our unit is dedicated to lapping and polishing. It’s a specific kind of work that requires a lot of attention to detail. The shop floor is the heart of the place. We have these big machines that use abrasive slurry to get surfaces perfectly flat. It’s a messy process. There’s always a bit of grit on the floor and a grey film on the workbenches. We wear overalls and heavy boots. It’s not the kind of job where you stay clean. The heat in the MIDC area can be pretty intense, especially in May. We just keep the big doors open to let some air in. Our team is small but we’ve worked together for a long time. We don't need to say much to get the job done. We just know the routine. Sometimes a part comes in that’s really tricky, and we all gather around to figure out the best way to mount it. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. If you come to see us, you’ll probably find us on the floor with our sleeves rolled up. We don't promise anything crazy. We just say we'll try to get it right for the pieces you give us. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday.
