Our workshop is at W-446 in the Rabale MIDC area of Navi Mumbai. Spectralab Instruments Pvt. Ltd. has been here for a long time. The industrial zone is quite large, and it can be easy to get lost if you don't know the block numbers. We deal with various instruments, so our space is full of tools and testing equipment. It isn't the cleanest environment because we are always working on something mechanical or electronic. Navi Mumbai can be quite humid, especially down in the MIDC. We have a small team of technicians and office staff who all know each other well. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything like that. When you walk in, you’re basically in the middle of the work area. We’ve had to expand our storage a couple of times because we keep getting more parts in. The commute for some of us is a bit long, but we like being in this part of the city. There’s a tea stall around the corner where we usually meet up. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the instruments we handle are done right. It's a lot of manual work and technical checking. Every day is a bit different depending on what needs fixing or assembling. That's the way it's always been here.
