We’ve been at Gala No. 9 in the Manish Industrial Estate for quite a long time now. Making tapes is what we do every single day here in Vasai East. It’s not a fancy setup, just a regular workshop where we keep the machines running and try to keep up with the orders that come in. Most of the time, the floor is covered in small bits of adhesive and backing paper because cutting these rolls to size gets messy. People think tape is simple, but there are so many types for different jobs. We spend our mornings checking the stock and making sure the adhesive is sticking the way it should. Navghar is a busy area, especially when the trucks are trying to load up in the narrow lanes around the estate. Our team is small, just a few of us who know how to handle the equipment without getting everything tangled up. Sometimes the machines act up or the humidity in Vasai makes things tricky, but we just deal with it as it happens. We don’t have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just us in the gala, working through the crates and rolls. Most days are just about getting the measurements right and making sure we don’t run out of raw materials before the week ends. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy from morning until we lock up the shutters in the evening.
