Our office and works are at Plot 20 in Udyog Bhavan, which is on Sonawala Road in Goregaon East. Being in Mumbai, it is always a bit of a squeeze. The road outside is usually packed with cars and delivery bikes. Inside the building, it is a bit more controlled, but we still use every inch of space we have for the polymers and coatings. The name Speciality Industrial Polymers & Coatings Pvt. Ltd. sounds a bit formal, but we are really just a group of people working in a crowded industrial unit. We have desks tucked into corners and stacks of containers near the exit. It is a bit of a maze sometimes. Goregaon East has changed a lot, but this building has stayed pretty much the same. We deal with a lot of technical stuff, but we talk about it in plain terms. If someone calls, they usually speak to the same two or three people every time. We don't have a big corporate switchboard. The air conditioning in the office struggles a bit during the hot months, but we manage. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a lobby or fancy coffee machines. We just want to make sure the coatings are right and the customers get their orders on time. It is a busy, slightly messy, and very real business. We are just glad to have a steady spot in a city that moves this fast.
