About Spanco Telesystems – Metals & Minerals in Mumbai
Our setup is inside Flat No. 4 at Coorg Appt. in Sector 3. Working from an apartment in Bombay has its own rhythm. It’s mostly quiet here, which helps when we’re dealing with the technical side of the telesystems stuff. We’ve been here for a good bit of time now, and the neighbors in the building are used to seeing us coming and going with equipment. It’s not like those big glass buildings you see in the city. We’ve got a couple of desks squeezed into the main room and wires running along the baseboards. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so we end up taking the stairs, which is okay since we aren't that high up. We handle a lot of the day-to-day coordination from here. Most of our work involves keeping track of systems and making sure everything is running for the people who use our services. Lunch is usually something quick brought from home or ordered from the small shop down the street. The light in the flat is pretty good in the mornings, which makes the early starts a bit easier. We don’t really have a big sign outside, just the flat number. It’s a simple way to run things without all the extra overhead of a commercial plaza. We just focus on the tasks at hand and try to stay organized in the space we have. It’s a bit cramped when we get a big delivery of parts, but we manage somehow.
