Space Environment Architecture

You’ll find us in Goregaon East, specifically at Shagun Chowk. We work out of Flat No A/5 in the Sai Milap Building. Even though the name Space Environment Architecture sounds a bit grand, we are actually just a small group of people working in a regular apartment. It’s a busy junction outside, so there’s always the sound of horns and people shouting, but we’ve grown used to it over time. The flat is filled with computers, printers, and a lot of physical models that we’ve built for different projects. We use the dining area as a meeting space where we lay out the big maps and plans. It’s a bit of a squeeze when we have more than two people visiting at once. We like being in Goregaon because it’s central to a lot of our project sites. Most of our days are spent doing the boring but necessary stuff like checking building regulations and drawing up technical details. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know how to get the work done. The balcony gives us a little bit of fresh air, though it’s mostly just a view of the other buildings and the traffic below. We drink a lot of chai and try to stay on top of the paperwork that seems to never end. It’s a honest day’s work in a noisy part of town that we have come to love.
