It is always loud outside because Mahakali Caves Road is one of those streets that never seems to sleep. Our office is on one of the middle floors. It is a functional space with a few computers, a printer that jams occasionally, and plenty of technical drawings spread across the tables. We deal with energy systems and technical projects. Most of the people working here have been in the industry for a long time. We aren't into big speeches or fancy presentations. We mostly just focus on the drawings and the numbers. The AC in the office is a bit noisy, but we need it with the Mumbai heat. We usually order lunch from a small place nearby and eat at our desks. It’s a very casual atmosphere. We have a lot of books about engineering and energy sitting on the shelves. Sometimes we have to travel to sites, but this office is where all the planning happens. Andheri East is a great hub for business, even if the traffic is a nightmare. We’ve been at this address for several years and we know the shortcuts around the neighborhood. It’s a straightforward operation. We just do our technical work and try to keep our clients satisfied without any big fuss.
