We’ve been here in Ghatkopar East for a while now. The workshop is over in General Block MIDC 44. It gets pretty hot around here, so we keep busy putting these fans together. Most people in the neighborhood know where we are. It’s not a fancy place, just a lot of metal, wires, and parts lying around. We spend most of the day testing motors and making sure the blades are balanced right so they don't make that annoying clicking sound when they're spinning fast. Usually, it's just a couple of us working the floor. We don't really do big ads or anything. People just stop by when their old fan finally gives up or they're building a new room. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the lane, but that's just how it is in this part of the city. We try to get things done without too much fuss. If you walk past the MIDC gate, you can usually hear the machines hum. It’s steady work. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but the need for a good breeze stays the same. We just keep at it, one motor at a time. It’s dusty work, and our hands are usually covered in oil or grease by the end of the shift. We don't mind it much. It feels good to see a finished fan boxed up and ready to go. We're just regular people making something useful for the house.
