The Sony Mony Electronics Ltd at Prabhadevi Saneguruji is one of those places that stays busy because of the location. Saneguruji is a landmark around here, so people find us pretty easily. The shop isn't very wide, so we have to be clever about how we stack the boxes. We have a lot of audio equipment here, and sometimes we test the speakers, which makes the whole place vibrate. The neighbors don't seem to mind too much. We spend a lot of time cleaning the glass counters because everyone likes to touch the shiny new phones. It’s a bit of a battle to keep the fingerprints off. We have a small stool behind the counter that we fight over when our feet get tired. The floor is made of old stone and stays relatively cool even when it is hot outside. We don't have a lot of staff, so we all do a bit of everything, from selling to cleaning to carrying boxes out to the cars. Sometimes the delivery truck gets stuck in the narrow lane and we have to carry everything by hand for a block. It’s hard work but it keeps us moving. We don't have a mission or anything like that, we just want to get through the day and make sure the customers find what they need. It’s just a normal shop in a busy part of the city.
