Solotronics Llp operates out of Shop No. 1 in Gurav Chawl No. 9. We are located in Vikhroli East, quite close to the Kohinoor Computer Institute and right across from Lata Books. It’s a small shop in a busy little neighborhood where everyone seems to know each other. Working in a chawl setting means you are always close to the action and the people living nearby. We spend our days surrounded by electronic parts and tools, trying to keep up with the work that comes through the door. It can get a bit cramped inside when we have a lot of stuff to look at, but we’ve learned how to use every inch of space we have. The noise of students from the institute and people browsing for books across the street is the backdrop to our day. We usually keep the door open to let a bit of air in, even if it means a little dust comes in too. It’s a very local way of doing things, and we don’t put on any acts about it. We’re just here to work on electronics and help out the folks who drop by with something that needs looking at. Most of our regulars are just people from the area who know us by name. It’s a simple setup, but it works for us, and we like being right here in the heart of Vikhroli where everything is happening.
