Our office is over in Mahim, right in the Swastik Apartments on Bal Govinddas Road. It’s a residential building mostly, so it feels a bit more like a home than a cold office block. We’ve been operating Sohm Hi-Tech Systems from here for some time now. We work on various tech systems, mostly sitting at our computers or dealing with hardware that comes through the door. The space is number 101, so we are right there on the first floor. It’s handy because we don’t have to wait for the lift most days. Mahim is a busy area, always something going on outside the window. We have a small team here. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded when we have a lot of equipment lying around, but we find a way to make it work. Lunchtime usually involves someone heading out to grab snacks for everyone else. We don’t really do big presentations or anything like that. People just come by when they have a technical problem or need a system sorted out. It’s steady work and keeps us on our toes. The paperwork tends to pile up on the corner desk, but we get through it eventually. We’ve learned a lot about the local tech scene just by being in this spot for so long. It is just us doing what we know how to do every day. There is no corporate ladder here, just people working together to finish the tasks.
