Soham Builders

I have been working out of this office at 244/9557 in Kannamwar Nagar-2 for quite some time now. Vikhroli East is a busy place, but this corner of the neighborhood feels a bit more lived-in. We do building work, mostly local stuff around Mumbai. My desk is usually a mess of blueprints, site photos, and half-empty water bottles. It isn't a high-rise office with a view; it is just a ground-floor spot where people can drop in. Most of the day is spent on the phone trying to get materials delivered or checking on how the cement is holding up at a site. The walls are a bit thin, so you can hear the kids playing outside and the rickshaws zooming past. We aren't a massive company with hundreds of workers. It is a small group of us who have known each other for years. We handle the paperwork and the planning right here. Sometimes the monsoon makes everything difficult, and we have to deal with leaks or delays, which is just part of the life of a builder in this city. I usually have tea with the guys in the morning before everyone heads out to the different sites. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until late evening. We have built a lot of things around here, and it is nice to see them still standing when I walk home in the evening. It is just a normal Mumbai business.
