Skylark Construction Pvt Ltd is located over in the 400066 area of Mumbai. If you know this part of Maharashtra, you know how crowded it gets and how much building is always happening. Our office isn't anything special to look at, just a place where we keep our blueprints and coordinate with the guys on the sites. Mumbai is a tough place to build because of the rain and the tight spaces, but we’ve been at it for a long time. There is always a lot of dust and the sound of cement mixers somewhere nearby. We spend most of our time on the phone or out at different spots checking on how things are moving along. It’s a lot of manual work and making sure the supplies actually show up on time, which is harder than it sounds with the local traffic. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. Usually, it’s just us talking to vendors and trying to stay on top of the regulations. Some days are slow when we are waiting for permits, and other days it is absolute chaos from sunrise until late at night. We just try to keep the projects moving so people can eventually move into their spaces. It is honest work, even if it gets messy and stressful during the monsoon season. We just keep our heads down and do the jobs that come our way.
