Site Supervisor

Our spot is in Kamdhenu Society, right in Sector 24 of Navi Mumbai. It is a busy area, and there is always some kind of construction or renovation going on nearby. I spend my days supervising the work on-site, which mostly involves making sure the workers are doing what they are supposed to do. Navi Mumbai is quite humid, so we all end up pretty tired by the afternoon. I check the tiles, the electrical wiring, and the plastering to make sure everything is solid. My office is just a small room at A/5 in the society building where I keep the files and the site maps. It is not very organized, but I know where everything is. I have to deal with the local authorities sometimes and make sure we are not making too much noise at the wrong times. The commute can be a bit of a hassle with the traffic, but I am usually at the site before the sun is fully up. I do not use any big marketing words to describe what I do. I just watch the work being done and fix things when they go wrong. It is a lot of talking to contractors and checking the quality of the wood and steel. Sometimes I eat my lunch sitting on a stack of floor tiles because there is nowhere else to sit. It is a practical job for practical people.
