Sanjeev Flexi Pack

Sanjeev Flexi Pack is over in Rihal Estate, right opposite the SBI bank in Sion West. It’s an industrial area, so there are a lot of small factories and workshops all packed in together. We mostly deal with flexible packaging, which means our space is usually dominated by big rolls of plastic film and the smell of ink and heat. The machines we use are pretty big and they make a rhythmic thumping sound that you just get used to after a while. Sion West is a busy part of the city, and getting trucks in and out of the estate can be a real headache sometimes. We have a small team of guys who have been here since the start. We aren't a big corporation with departments and meetings; we just stand by the machines and make sure the plastic is feeding through correctly. Sometimes the tension on the rolls is off and everything gets tangled, which takes forever to fix. We eat our lunch together on the workshop floor, usually talking about the cricket score or the weather. It’s a simple setup. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby for guests. If you come to see us, you’ll likely find us in our work shirts with grease or ink on our hands, just trying to get the day's orders finished before the sun goes down. It is noisy and hot, but we like the work.
