Perfume Solutions

Operating out of a residential society like Jai Bhavani CHS in Sion has its own set of challenges. Perfume Solutions is located at C42, and you can usually tell which unit is ours before you even see the door because of the smells. It’s a mix of all sorts of scents that cling to your clothes by the end of the day. Khambdev Nagar is a busy neighborhood, and we are right in the middle of it. The space is tight, so we have to be very organized with our bottles and boxes. Sometimes the neighbors ask us what that nice smell is, and other times they probably wish we were doing something quieter. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know how to handle the oils without spilling them everywhere. Lunch usually happens at our desks because there isn't really a separate break room. We spend a lot of time labeling things by hand and double-checking the lids are tight. If the delivery guy is late, we just keep ourselves busy with cleaning the shelves. It’s a small-scale operation, very hands-on and sometimes a bit messy. We don't have fancy brochures or a marketing team. It’s just us in this small Sion room, making sure the bottles are filled and the orders are packed up for the courier. By the time we leave at night, the whole hallway smells like jasmine or sandalwood, and we just hope the smell doesn't follow us all the way home on the train.
