Sintrex Corporation

Sintrex Corporation is located in the Vakharia Building on Picket Road. It’s on the third floor, specifically Room No. 4, so you have to climb a lot of stairs to get to us. The building is old, like most things in this part of the city, and the hallways are a bit dark and narrow. Inside, the space is pretty cramped because we have to fit all our desks and files into one room. Picket Road is always packed with people and carts, so the noise from the street never really stops. We deal with a lot of clerical work and coordinating stuff over the phone. It’s a lot of sitting and typing, then running out to meet someone or drop off a document. We don't have much room for visitors, so most of our business happens through calls or people just dropping by for a quick minute to pick up paperwork. The windows are small and look out over the rooftops of other old buildings. Sometimes the ceiling fans squeak, and we have to poke them with a broom handle to get them to settle down for a bit. It’s a simple office life in a very busy, very old part of town. We’ve been in this building for quite a while now, and despite the stairs and the heat, it feels like the right place for us. Most of us eat our lunch right at our desks because there isn't a proper break room.
