Our shop, Silverline Jewellers Pvt. Ltd., is at 299 Kalbadevi Road. We are inside 5 Johar Place on the first floor. It is an old building in a very busy part of town. You have to navigate through the crowds on the sidewalk just to get to the stairs. Once you get up to the first floor, it’s a bit more peaceful. We have been here for many years now. The shop has simple glass counters and some old wooden stools for people to sit on. We don’t have any of those fancy modern displays. We keep our jewelry in heavy safes and bring things out when someone wants to see them. It is a small space, so it gets crowded if more than four or five people are inside at once. My uncle started this business, and he taught me how to look at the stones and the metal. We use traditional tools and a lot of patience. Sometimes the lights flicker because the wiring in the building is quite old. We don’t mind it much. People come to us because they know we have been here forever. We don't have a website or do any social media stuff. If you want to see what we have, you just have to come to Kalbadevi and walk up the stairs. It is a straightforward way of doing business, and it has served us well.
