If you're looking for Sidhpura Corporation, you have to head down to Kalbadevi Road. It’s always a bit of a squeeze getting through the crowds there, especially around 70-Ramwadi. We are tucked away in Jagruti Nivas. You have to come up to the first floor and find Office Number 9. It’s not the biggest office in the world, but it’s where everything happens for us. The building is one of those older Mumbai structures that has a lot of character, even if the stairs are a bit steep. We’ve got stacks of ledgers and papers because that’s just how we operate. Outside the window, you can hear the horns honking and the shouting of the street vendors all day long. It’s loud, but you get used to it after a week or two. We started out small and we’ve stayed that way because it’s easier to manage things ourselves. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone telling us how to look professional. We just wear our regular clothes and talk to our customers like they’re real people, because they are. Most of the people who come to see us at Office 9 have been doing business with us for years. They know where the chai man is and they know which chair is the most comfortable. It’s a busy, cramped, wonderful mess of a place, and we wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
