Siddhivinayak Industries

Our place is tucked away in Kandivali East, specifically in the Subhash Yadav Estate. We occupy spaces in Damu Nagar Extension 1 and 2. It’s an industrial area, so there’s always the sound of machinery and trucks going by. Siddhivinayak Industries isn't a massive corporation; we are more of a small-scale operation. We’ve been here long enough that we know the other business owners on the estate. Most days are spent on the shop floor dealing with whatever production we have going on. It’s loud and can get quite hot in the summer, but that’s just the nature of the work. We don't have a polished front office. Most of the time, the desk is covered in papers and spare parts. We just focus on getting the orders finished. It’s a bit of a maze back here in the extension, and sometimes new delivery drivers get lost looking for us. We just tell them to look for the building with the most activity. There are no fancy uniforms here. We just wear what’s comfortable for manual work. We have a small tea break in the mornings and afternoons, and that’s when we catch up on things. It’s a simple way to run things, but it works for us. We aren't trying to change the world; we’re just trying to run a decent shop and keep our heads down. It is hard work but we are used to the noise and the pace of the estate.
