Laxmi Industrial Estate is always buzzing with activity, especially with all the trucks coming in and out from the New Link Road. We’re in Laxmi Plaza, room 207, which is on the second floor. It’s a typical Andheri West setup where space is tight and everyone is always in a hurry. At Shubham Pharmacham, our office is mostly filled with samples and shipping documents. There’s a constant sound of tape dispensers because we’re always packing something up to go out. The lighting inside isn't the best, but we have enough desk lamps to see what we’re doing. It’s an industrial area, so there’s always a bit of grime on the windows and the smell of grease from the workshops downstairs. We don't mind it, though. It’s part of being in the middle of things. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone to tell us how to talk to people; we just answer the questions we get and try to be helpful. Sometimes we lose track of time because there are no windows in the main work area, and suddenly it’s seven o'clock and the guard is waiting to lock up the main gate. It’s a gritty, hard-working kind of place, and that suits us just fine. We just keep our heads down and get through the list of things to do.
