Our office is over in Chunabhatti, tucked away in Samarth Nagar. It’s actually Flat No. 8/4, so it’s got that residential feel even though we’re doing our consulting work here. Being so close to the Chunabhatti Railway Station is a bit of a double-edged sword because it’s convenient for getting around but it always feels a bit rushed and noisy. We’ve been part of the Shrikhande Consultants setup for a while, handling things from this corner of Mumbai. The space is filled with files and desks, and usually there’s someone on the phone or typing away. It’s not a big corporate tower or anything like that. It’s just a regular place where work gets done. Sometimes the noise from the station drifts in, but you get used to it after a week or two of being here. We handle a lot of different things throughout the week and the pace can be a bit much if you’re not used to Mumbai life. We just try to keep up with the demands and make sure everything is filed where it belongs. The team is small and we’ve worked together long enough to know how each other takes their coffee. We don’t have any big speeches to give about what we do. It’s just a job and we show up every morning to do it as well as we can in this small flat. It works for us and the people we deal with, keeping things simple and direct without any unnecessary complications that you find in bigger firms.
