Shree Remedies

Getting to the second floor of Sanjay Mansion can be a bit of a workout if you aren't used to taking the stairs. Kalbadevi Road is always loud with all the horns and people shouting, but once you get inside A-Block, it quietens down a little bit. We are at number 17. Shree Remedies has been in this spot for a long while now. The office is mostly filled with stacks of papers and some old filing cabinets that have seen better days. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls, just a basic calendar and maybe a clock that is always a few minutes fast. Working in Bhang Wadi means you're right in the middle of everything that happens in the city. We spend a lot of the afternoon just answering the phone and writing down orders on pads. Sometimes the light in the hallway flickers, and we keep meaning to ask the building manager to fix it, but we always forget when things get busy. It's a small team here. We usually eat our lunch at the desks while looking out the window at the messy rooftops. It’s not the most modern place in Mumbai, but it’s where we do our work every day. Most of the people we deal with are also in the trade, so they know the area well. We just try to get the orders sorted and out the door without too much fuss. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so the small AC unit we have works pretty hard.
