Shoevival The Shoe Laundry is over in Thakur Village, Kandivali East. We are at Shop No. 23 in the Viceroy Court Building. If you know where the Domino's Pizza is, we are right near there. Basically, we spend our days cleaning and fixing up shoes that people thought were ready for the bin. It’s a lot of scrubbing and drying. The shop often smells like soap and leather cleaner. We have shelves full of sneakers, boots, and heels waiting to be picked up. It can get pretty cluttered when we have a busy week, but we have a system to keep track of whose shoes are whose. We started this because we realized people didn't want to throw away their favorite pairs just because they got dirty or a bit worn out. We don't have a big corporate setup. It’s just a few of us working with our hands. Sometimes our hands get stained from the dyes or the polish, but that's part of the job. The building itself is quite nice, but our shop is very much a workspace. We aren't trying to be a fancy boutique. We just want to get your shoes looking decent again. It’s honest work, and we like seeing the look on someone’s face when they see their old sneakers looking almost new. Stop by if you’re in the village.
