Shivkumar & Co.

Our office is over at 38, Jay Bharat Industrial Estate, right on the first floor. Being near the Western Express Highway means there is always a lot of noise from the traffic outside, especially during the rush hours in Goregaon East. We’re right near Virwani Industrial Estate too, so the whole area is packed with different businesses and delivery vans. To get to us, you have to walk up the concrete stairs, which can be a bit steep if you’re carrying anything heavy. Shivkumar & Co. is basically just a few rooms filled with stacks of papers and some old desks. We’ve been in this spot for a long time. The walls have some marks on them from moving furniture around over the years. We keep the windows open mostly to let some air in, even if it brings in the dust from the road. It’s a busy place. Sometimes the electricity acts up when everyone in the building is running their equipment at once, but we manage. We have a small area where we keep the records, and it’s usually pretty cramped. Most of our day is spent talking to people who drop by or sorting through the folders we have piled up. It’s not a polished corporate space, just a regular workplace where we try to stay on top of things. We usually have some tea around four o'clock. It’s a habit now, and it helps us get through the rest of the paperwork before we head home.
