Shiv Vani Oil & Gas Exploration Services Ltd

Our office for Shiv Vani Oil & Gas Exploration Services Ltd is up on the seventh floor of Galaxy Classique. We are in 703 B, which is right in the heart of Goregaon West in Mumbai. If you look out the window, you can see the traffic crawling along below and the local trains passing by in the distance. Mumbai is a fast city, and it feels that way in our office too. We have desks cluttered with maps, technical reports, and half-empty tea cups. The air conditioner is almost always running because it gets so humid here. We spend a lot of time coordinating with people out at the exploration sites, which means the phones are usually ringing off the hook. It is a lot of logistical work that people don't really see. We are not a shiny corporate firm with glass walls; we are more of a functional space where real work gets done. There are files stacked in the corners and some of the chairs have seen better days. The staff here has been together for a while, so we know how to deal with the stress of the job. Goregaon West is a busy place to be, and sometimes just getting to the office through the crowd is a job in itself. Once we are inside, we just focus on the data and the exploration schedules until it is time to go home.
