We are the Shipping Corporation Of India, based out of Malad East in Mumbai. Our spot is at 201 Sundaram Iii Co Operative Housing Society, inside the Raheja Complex. It’s right near the Times of India building, so it’s easy to find if you know the area. Mumbai is a fast place and shipping is even faster. We spend our days dealing with cargo and all the paperwork that comes with sea travel. It’s a lot of coordination. The office is usually a bit noisy with people talking and printers going. We’ve been in this housing society for a while. It’s a decent place to work from. We handle things coming into the port and stuff going out. It’s not just ships, it’s all the logistics behind them. Sometimes the rains in Mumbai slow us down, but we push through. We don't use big fancy words to describe what we do. We just make sure the goods get on the right boat at the right time. Our team is a mix of people who have been here forever and some newer faces. We mostly just focus on the task at hand. It can be stressful when a shipment is late, but that’s just how it goes in this industry. We keep our heads down and work. It's a crowded office but we like the energy. Everyone knows their job and we just get on with it every day.
