Shetty Motor Stores

We’re located in the Hansraj Damodhar Building right by Kennedy Bridge. Most people just say we’re at Opera House. It’s an old building, but it has character. Shetty Motor Stores has been here for a long time. The area is always crowded with people and cars. It’s loud and busy from morning to night. We sell motor parts and different bits and pieces for cars. The shelves are high and reach all the way to the ceiling. We have to use a ladder to get most things. It’s dusty work, but we know where every single nut and bolt is hidden. People come here when they can’t find a part anywhere else. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just walk in or call us. The bridge is always under repair or has traffic on it, so getting here can be a bit of a journey. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the decades. New buildings go up, but we’re still in the same old spot. It’s a small shop but it’s full of history. We drink a lot of tea and talk to the regulars who have been coming here for twenty years. It’s just a traditional store in a busy part of the city. We don't need fancy lights or a new floor. The old wooden counter has served us just fine for all this time and it will probably stay that way.
