Shatakshi Productions

Shatakshi Productions operates out of an apartment in Andheri West. We are in the Venus building, part of the Apna Ghar Society on First Cross Lane. It’s a busy part of Lokhandwala, which is perfect for what we do. The place is more of a home office than a corporate studio. We have computers set up in the main room and wires running across the floor. It’s where we do all our editing and planning. Being in Andheri means we are close to everyone else in the industry, which makes meetings a bit easier, though the traffic on the cross lanes is always a nightmare. We aren't a big production house with a hundred employees. It’s just a small group of us who enjoy making things. We don't have a fancy logo on the door or a receptionist. If the bell rings, one of us just gets up to answer it. We spend long nights here working on projects, fueled by coffee and local snacks. Sometimes the neighbors complain about the noise if we stay up too late, but mostly they are used to us. We don't have a big marketing pitch. People usually find us through word of mouth. We just try to finish our work on time and move on to the next thing. It’s a bit chaotic, but that’s how we like it. We focus on the screen and the story, nothing more.
