Shaporji Pallonji & Co Ltd

We are located at Shaporji Pallonji & Co Ltd in the Fort area of Mumbai. This particular record of ours dates back to the time between 2006 and 2007 when Nayak G was based here. Fort is such a classic part of the city, with all those old stone buildings and narrow streets. Our office wasn't anything fancy, just a room filled with the usual office stuff. It was always a bit of a squeeze, especially with the amount of paperwork we had to manage back then. Being in South Mumbai meant everything was fast-paced. You could hear the taxis honking and people rushing to catch trains at CST. Inside, it was a different world, mostly focused on the ledgers and project details. We didn't have much in the way of modern decor. It was more about the high ceilings and the old wooden windows that sometimes rattled when the wind was strong. The daily routine was pretty set: arrive early, tackle the mail, and stay late if the deadlines were tight. We often grabbed lunch from the local sandwich wallas or the small cafes tucked into the alleys. It was a very grounded way of working. There was a sense of being part of the city’s history while just doing a normal job. Even though that specific period of 2006 to 2007 has passed, the memories of that busy desk in Fort still feel very vivid to us as we look back on those years.
