Our office is in Gomes Chawl, Room Number 2, which is located behind the Novelty Bakery on Pipe Road in Kurla West. You hear everything from the neighbors, and people are always moving around in the lane outside. Pipe Road is always packed with people and bikes, so it’s a very lively place to be. Our room is quite small, but we’ve managed to fit in everything we need to run the business. We have a big wooden desk that takes up most of the space and some shelves reaching up to the ceiling to hold all our files. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, so the fan stays on high all day long. The floor is old stone that has been worn smooth over the years. We don’t have any fancy office furniture, just what works for us. It’s a bit crowded when we have a lot of paperwork to sort through, but we manage. Sometimes we have to step out into the lane just to stretch our legs. It’s a real Mumbai workspace, right in the middle of all the noise and activity. It’s not a quiet corporate office, but it’s where we do our work every day without any complaints. There is always something happening right outside our doorstep.
