Shapoorji Pallonji Co Ltd has had people working out of this location for a good while. It’s a bit of a walk from the station, but it’s a lively neighborhood. The office itself is pretty simple. We have our files, our computers, and a lot of tea being made throughout the afternoon. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at site plans. It’s not the kind of place with leather chairs or glass walls. It’s a working office. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy with the traffic and the general bustle of Pisawali, but that’s just how it is here. We’ve gotten to know the local tea stall guy pretty well. Most of us have been here long enough that we don’t even notice the noise anymore. We just focus on getting the lists checked off. There’s a lot of coordination involved in what we do, so communication is key. We aren’t big on formalities. If someone has a question, they just ask. It’s a flat way of working that suits us. We’ve seen Kalyan change quite a bit over the last few years, and we’re just glad to be a small part of it. It is just an ordinary office doing ordinary work every single day.
