Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. Ltd.

Down in Colaba, at the Shapoorji Pallonji Centre on Minoo Desai Marg, things move at a certain pace. It’s an old part of town, 41/44 to be exact. We have been in this building for quite some time. You can see the history in the walls and the way the windows are built. It is a big name, Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. Ltd., but when you are inside the office, it’s just us trying to stay on top of the paperwork and the phones. The street outside, Minoo Desai Marg, is always crowded with people and cars, and the sea breeze from the Colaba side sometimes reaches us. We don't have a lot of flashy signs inside. It is mostly desks, computers, and a lot of files from over the years. We spend a lot of time talking to people on the sites or dealing with the logistics of the next big project. It gets a bit chaotic during the monsoon because the old pipes sometimes give us trouble. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a sleek lobby. It’s more about the work we’ve done since we started. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we all know how the coffee machine works and which floorboards creak. It feels more like a second home than a corporate headquarters sometimes. That is just how the vibe is in Colaba. We just keep working through the piles of paper.
