Shapoorji Pallonji & Company Limited

Our office is tucked away in 18A/306, Bhawani Tower, right in the middle of Mumbai. Being part of Shapoorji Pallonji & Company Limited here means you get used to the sounds of the city pretty fast. The elevator in this building has its own personality, sometimes making us wait way too long when we are already running late for a meeting. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, phones, and a lot of coffee cups. We handle a lot of the administrative side of things from this spot. It’s not like the big construction sites where you wear a hard hat all day. Here, it’s more about the paperwork and making sure the numbers add up. We look out the window and see the Mumbai skyline, which is always changing. It reminds us that there is always more work to be done. We usually order in lunch from one of the local dabbas because nobody wants to lose their parking spot by leaving. It’s a bit cramped sometimes, especially when we have new drawings to spread out over the tables. We don’t do anything too flashy. We just show up, do the work, and try to get home before the worst of the evening traffic starts. It’s a typical Mumbai office life, really. We’ve been in this tower for a bit now and it feels like a second home, even with the noisy air conditioner and the cramped desk space.
