Our spot is Room No.7 in Kalai Wala Niwas, right on Jivan Vikas Kendra Marg. It is tucked behind the Pimpleshwar Mahadev Mandir in Vile Parle East. Mumbai is a crowded place, and our office reflects that—it’s small and usually packed with people coming and going. We’ve been operating Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. Ltd. from this little corner for quite some time now. You can hear the sounds of the temple nearby throughout the day, which gives the place a specific feel. It’s not like those high-rise offices in BKC. We are on the ground level, dealing with the local reality of construction and the busy schedules every single day. The walls are a bit dusty from the road, and the files are stacked high. Most of our guys are out at the sites, so the room might feel quiet for an hour then suddenly it’s full of workers needing signatures or tools. We don’t have a fancy reception area or anything like that. You just walk in and talk to whoever is sitting at the main table. We know the neighbors and the local shops well. It’s a humble setup, but we get the important stuff done without making a fuss about it. We just stick to our routine, handle the challenges as they pop up, and keep the projects moving forward in this busy city. No one expects luxury here, just solid results every week.
