Shanti Laptop Service

The shop for Shanti Laptop Service is over at Shop No. 2 in the C1-Panditalay Building. It’s on Chunam Lane, which is right off the main Lamington Road. Like the address says, we are on Chunam Lane. If you know the area, you know how busy it gets with all the electronics and people rushing around. We mostly spend our time looking at screens and opening up laptop cases. It’s a small space, mostly taken up by workbenches and piles of spare parts. Chunam Lane is a bit narrow, so it can feel quite tucked away from the main road’s noise, even though it’s just a few steps away. We see all kinds of problems, from keyboards that don't work to laptops that won't turn on at all. It’s a job where you are always using your hands and focusing on small screws and delicate parts. The lighting inside is bright so we can see what we are doing. We don't have a big waiting area, just enough room for a person or two to stand while we talk about their computer. Lamington Road is the heart of this stuff in the city, so we are right in the middle of it all. People come to us because we have been here in the Panditalay Building for a while. It’s a simple life, fixing things and hoping the parts arrive on time. We usually have the radio on in the background while we work and there is always some chai nearby.
