Shankar Brazing Works

We operate out of Ghatkopar West H O 16, where we run Shankar Brazing Works. It’s a workshop where we deal with metal joining and various types of brazing jobs. It’s not the cleanest environment, as there’s usually some smoke and the smell of metal in the air, but it’s where we do our daily work. We handle all sorts of parts, from small household items to larger industrial pieces that need a bit of heat to stay together. We’ve been doing this for a long time and have picked up a few tricks along the way. The equipment is old but reliable, and we know exactly how to handle it. We don’t have a reception desk or a waiting room; people just come straight to the workshop floor to show us what they need fixed. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. We take pride in making sure the joints are strong and the work is solid, even if it doesn't always look pretty when it's finished. Sometimes we have to tell people that a piece is too far gone to be saved, which isn't fun, but we'd rather be honest than take their money for nothing. It’s a steady trade, and we’re glad to be the ones the locals turn to when they have a metalwork problem. The heat from the torches can get pretty intense in the afternoons, but we just keep working through it. You can usually hear the sound of the metal clinking from the street.
