Shah Electronics

Lower Parel has changed a lot over the years, but Shah Electronics is still here at Kewal Industrial Estate. We are up on Senapati Bapat Marg at unit 117. The building is one of those older industrial structures that has seen plenty of history. Getting here in the morning can be a bit of a headache with the traffic, but once we’re inside and the lights are on, it’s fine. The space is filled with the smell of old boxes and electronics. We’ve got stacks of components everywhere. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find plush chairs or a coffee machine for guests. We’re usually too busy working to worry about how the place looks to outsiders. Most of our clients have been coming to us for years, so they don't mind the clutter. We focus on what we know, which is the technical side of electronics. Sometimes the monsoon makes the walls a bit damp, but that’s just how these old Mumbai buildings are. We just keep our heads down and get through the pile of work on our desks. It’s a bit of a maze in here sometimes. We don't have any big speeches about what we do. We just fix things and move on to the next task. It's been our routine for a long time now and we’re okay with that.
