Shafts India

Our place is over in the ANSA Industrial Estate, specifically building J, unit 101. Being in Andheri East means we are close to the station road, which is good for getting things moved in and out. Shafts India has been operating out of this industrial block for quite some time now. It’s a bit of a maze back here in the estate if you aren’t used to it, but once you find the J building, we are right there. We deal with various types of shafts and mechanical parts that factories and workshops use. The machines make a fair bit of noise throughout the day. We spend most of our time at the back where the actual work happens rather than sitting at desks. The floor is usually covered in some bit of grease or metal shavings because that is the nature of the job. It’s not a showroom. It’s a workspace. Sometimes the phone rings and we can barely hear it over the grinders. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. Most of the people who come to us are regulars or folks who heard about us from other businesses in the SV Road area. It’s a tight-knit community of workshops around here. We just focus on getting the specs right for the orders that come in. It can be long hours when a big batch needs to go out, but we just get through it. That is how we have always done things at this address.
