Navbharat Estates is an old place and we spend a lot of our time here in Sewri West on Zakaria Bunder Road. It is a crowded area with lots of trucks moving around all day. Inside our lab at A- 201/202, it stays a bit quieter though. We deal with various chemicals and testing materials. Sometimes the power flickers but we just manage it and keep going. People know where we are because we have been in this same spot for a long while. The work is mostly technical and repetitive. We do not have a fancy lobby or anything like that. It is just desks, lab benches, and some glass bottles everywhere. Most days involve checking samples and writing down the results in our logs. It is a job like any other. The commute to Sewri can be a real pain if you take the train during rush hour. The air is pretty dusty outside. We keep things clean inside the rooms because that is how labs have to work. We have a few staff members who have been here for years. They know exactly where every single tool is kept on the shelves. If someone asks for a specific item, we can usually find it in a few minutes. Lunch is usually eaten at our desks or someone goes out to get tea from the small stall near the main gate. We do not really do much advertising. People just find us or they already have our address from before.
