Service People

Our place is tucked away in the Nav Nandenvan Industrial Estate, right on LBS Marg. If you know where the Kajuwadi Police Station is, we are pretty close to that in Andheri East. We occupy Plot No 9/A and 13/B. It’s an industrial area, so it’s always loud with trucks and people moving things around. Service People is just what we call ourselves because we spend the whole day fixing things and helping out other businesses in the estate. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the other shop owners and the tea stall guys nearby. The space is a bit cramped with all the tools and parts we keep, but we know where everything is. It’s not like a corporate office with air conditioning everywhere; it’s more of a workshop feel. We deal with whatever comes through the door. Sometimes it’s a machine repair, sometimes it’s something smaller. The humidity in Mumbai gets to the equipment sometimes, so we’re always cleaning things off. It’s a lot of manual labor and using our hands. We don't have a website that does much, usually, folks just drop by or give us a ring because they saw our sign near the police station. It's a busy life here in Kaju Wadi, but we like the pace. There's always someone needing something fixed before the day ends. We just try to get things working again so people can get back to their own jobs.
