You can find us at 50-D in the Government Industrial Estate over in Charcop, Kandivli West. Being in an industrial estate means it’s always loud outside with trucks moving and other factories running their heavy machines. At Sejal Glass Craft, we focus on the more detailed side of glasswork. It’s a bit different from just cutting flat sheets for windows. We do a lot of shaping and finishing that takes a steady hand. The floor is usually covered in a bit of dust, and we’re always wearing our boots to stay safe. It gets pretty humid in Kandivli, and the industrial estate doesn’t get much of a breeze between the buildings. We’ve been at this spot for years, so we’ve seen the neighbors change quite a bit. Our workshop is organized in a way that only we really understand. There are racks for the finished pieces and tables where the actual crafting happens. We spend a lot of time checking the edges and making sure the patterns are right if someone asked for a specific design. It’s hard work on your back and eyes, but it’s a living. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. People usually find us because they need something specific done with glass that isn't just a standard item. We just open up the shutters every morning and get to work until the sun goes down and it is time to head home.
